Everything is coming up florals!

Or at least everything is coming up florals in the new DVF and Current Elliott collaboration.  This capsule collection celebrates covetable Current Elliott denim, but re-imagines it in fresh floral prints for spring.  There are only a few staple pieces - skinny jeans, straight leg jeans, skinny skirt, shirt, shorts, and dress.  The prices range from $229 for the skinny skirt to $398 for the denim wrap dress - a little pricey, but within standard DVF prices.

I'm still checking out the selection of uber fun accessories at Alexis Bittar.  There is a page on the website now for items on sale under $100 - some of these items are selling for 70% off!  I am debating these smoky quartz earrings now.  What do you think?

NY Sales
Sigh, yet another time I wish I was back in my home city of NYC.  DVF hosts one of the best sample sales I've experienced.  I got a really lovely in-season, multi-colored sheath dress that I saw in Singapore for about 8 times what I paid at the sample sale (though remember Asian retail prices start at a higher price than US retail prices).
Today is the last day so if you're in the area, it could be worth checking out!

Otherwise this weekend, I am...
...hosting a cookout for my belated birthday.  There will be Korean style chicken with mango (recipe here), hot dogs, Ina Garten's lemon cream pasta with broccoli and more!

NYC Bound: Some Loves (and maybe a Coach party and a DVF wrap dress!)

I'm headed off to a short trip to lovely NYC. Yay!  I can't wait to get some more of my stuff and of course see my lovely friends and family.

This trip, I'm thinking about the following...

...eating a great sandwich.  I have to try at least one from this list.  I'm thinking a Cuban is a must (we mostly eat healthy so I can have a little ham and swiss cheese deliciousness for under $5 right?)

...getting a haircut (finally!)  My hair is way too long and I'm hoping to get it around this length.

...taking a peek at the Blogger designed bags for Coach at the launch party (details here).  I like the versatility of Karla's bag - a clutch and a cross-body!  Anyone going?

Sigh I'm not looking forward to the flight, but love the things that await me at the other end.

DVF Sample Sale in NYC

The iconic wrap dress can be had for $150 at this week's DVF sample sale in NYC. I went today and it was pretty darn crowded. I was looking for a fun dress like this:

The pleated dress would have been awesome too though for a formal event.Here were the prices at the sale:
