I usually head straight for the jewelry section during J. Crew's sales (use code loveit to get an extra 30% off sale!).  While there isn't much of a selection this time, there are a few cute dresses and jackets.
The Evie dress is really pretty - the color and wonderful silk chiffon material make it so light and lovely!  It is still on the border of what you may want to pay at $126, but worth it for silk chiffon.  Here is another great wardrobe staple:

Intermix
I am always on the hunt for more maxi skirts and dresses and Intermix usually has a good selection on sale.  This navy one is both basic and looks comfortable!
Summer also means more gold tones for me and I am looking to get more gold chains and earrings.  This necklace is a good start!

Nordstrom's
I already have a favorite sales associate at Nordstrom's (who checks e-mail regularly!) and have experienced superior customer service at the store.  I am also curious about their other offerings and will be checking out shoes and apparel this weekend.  I haven't found enough good brands for affordable shoes, but this is a start and I do love bows.

Otherwise this weekend I am...
...cleaning up and packing for a business trip to China!  It is actually going to be a long trip (over a week) and I will be staying through next weekend.  I'm actually pretty exhausted because I just got back from a business trip to Jakarta a few hours ago.  But I can't complain - I wanted more travel in my job and am getting it!  I am excited to explore Shanghai, but am not even sure how I will access anything behind the "Great Firewall" including my own blog!  Hmm, I'll let you know and let you know if I can reach your blogs too!

FFF - Levi's extra 50% off sale items and a Chili cook-off

Remember Levi's (esp. the 501s)?  Yep you may have to reach back to high school for that one.  Well they currently have an extra 50% off their sale items with the code extra50. 
Go through Mr. Rewards first for 5% off (seriously love this place they have cash back rebates with Barney's, Target, Sephora and more).  My invite if you need it.

Hmm would I wear these boyfriend jeans?  They are a ridiculously low $9.50 after rebate.  Tempted...

Otherwise, this weekend I am...
...going to a chili cook-off.  The husband is ridiculously excited.  Brown University's alumni club organized this cook-off and invited other schools to join.  Teams compete, our stomachs win!  Hopefully it'll be tasty!

Hayden Harnett Big Bang Sale - Dresses, Bags, Cuffs (yes, pretty awesome ones)

So I've been a Hayden Harnett fan practically since their inception. This couple (Toni and Ben) began with handbags and have expanded into shoes, apparel, and most recently swimwear (with a lovely vintage vibe, Amanda, you might like it!).

I've met Toni and Ben and some of the lovely designers there - all very cool and usually present at their sample sales. They have retail stores in Brooklyn and the LES (love that one and got a few things there). Toni told me someone bought her bridesmaid dresses there and I considered this too since they are all silk and have rocking prints (some of my girls wanted long dresses though so it didn't work out).

Note for my NYC friends: GO to their brick and mortar sample sales if you can (sign up for their newsletter). I have had incredible luck there and it depends on your size and style so YMMV.
But I have gotten bags at 50%-90% off (first or last day of sale), a cotton and leather jacket for $35 with free pants, and a silk tunic for $1 (originally $200, the only one in stock). Seriously. I'm not Chic 'n Cheap for nothing. :)
I have gotten their stuff at "regular sale" prices too (they send out codes occasionally) and their quality and worksmanship is worth every penny.
